In a recent board meeting, July 22, 2024, the Colorado Independent School District (CISD) approved the second phase of construction for our new baseball and softball fields. The decision came after a competitive bidding process between two contractors, with Paragon Sports Constructors (PSC) ultimately winning the bid with a total cost (Phase 1 and Phase 2) of $4.169 million.
The project scope includes the addition of bleachers, press boxes, dugouts, concrete site work and shade canopies for both fields, ensuring comfort and convenience for our Wolves and Lady Wolves fans. A contingency fund of $100,000 was also included in the budget, which will be returned to the district if not utilized by the contractor.
The decision to approve the additional $1,183,744 for Phase 2 of the new baseball and softball fields construction work was met with enthusiasm by the board, who are committed to providing state-of-the-art facilities for their student athletes.
The construction of the new baseball and softball fields is expected to be completed in time for the upcoming season.
