Students were given an opportunity to sign up to audition for One Act Play today, if a student did not sign up they need to see Mrs. Follis before auditions on Wednesday to get a monologue and information sheet. The Wings On the Wind Festival will be held at Abilene State Park on September 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hosted by the Big Country Chapter of Master Naturalists, this family-friendly event offers something for all ages.
Explore a range of information stations, including Insects, Monarch Life Cycle, Native Bees, Wingspan Banner, Bats and Bat Rescue, Quail, Birds, Monarch Migration, Geology, Snakes, Weather and Clouds, Paper Airplanes, Kites, Angel and Fishing, Giant Bubbles, Atlatl Throwing, Solar System, Seeds and Seed Dispersal.
Originally intended to celebrate the wind, the festival now embraces all aspects of the outdoors, with the Snakes station being a crowd favorite.
