As we head into Thanksgiving break (November 24–28), I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the hard work, dedication, and support you’ve shown to our students and to Colorado High School throughout this semester. Your commitment makes a tremendous difference, and I am truly grateful for the effort you put in every day.
Today we will follow our normal bell schedule. During lunch, we will have our potluck meal. A big thank-you to Mr. Martinez and Sammy Calbillo for preparing the meat and taking care of the grilling for our staff, your work is very much appreciated.
I also want to share that I will be finishing my time here at the end of this semester. I have some health matters that I need to take care of, and I will also be spending time at the prison teaching. This upcoming schedule will allow me the flexibility to attend necessary appointments.
The district administration will be sending more information soon regarding the leadership transition moving forward. I will be letting students know this afternoon during WolfTime Assembly so they are aware as well.
As we navigate change together, I’m reminded of the words from Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” A reminder that new seasons can bring renewal, strength, and opportunity.
Thank you again for everything you do and for the impact you have on our students. I appreciate all of you and wish you a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving break.

In Physics yesterday, our CHS students took on a high-stakes engineering mission: design a protective device to keep an egg safe during a surprise drop, using only limited supplies and LOTS of creativity!
Our 8th graders have been studying the Revolutionary War through The New Republic, and today history came to life! 🇺🇸✨
A HUGE thank-you to M3 Palace Theater for treating our students to a special showing of HAMILTON! 🎭🎶
They were excited, grateful, and absolutely loved it, a day we won’t forget! ❤️🙌

Their projects consisted of teaching lessons in history, theatre arts and child development along with the touch-a-truck career pathway. Some members made a video showcasing our CTE/P-Tech courses and others gave speeches about why they wanted to be an educator after graduation. A team wrote and illustrated a children’s book and a team put together a digital yearbook for our chapter!
