‼🐺🎭 Kymani Martinez's talent and hard work have paid off. He was recently recognized as part of the All-Star Cast in our district's One Act Play competition for his outstanding performance in "The Curious Savage." He is now preparing to take part in the San Angelo Broadway Academy's production of "Singing in the Rain."
On May 10, 2021, at 9:30 AM, we will have the chance to witness Kymani's incredible skills again as he brings his passion and enthusiasm to the performance with SABA at Murphy Performance Hall in San Angelo. Kymani's talent inspires us, and we wish him all the best.

8th Grade STAAR Social Studies
1. Please make sure your student goes to bed early tonight.
2. Please make sure they have a good breakfast. If they eat at school, please get them here in plenty of time to eat.
3. MOST IMPORTANT‼️‼️PLEASE, PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL TOMORROW! Statistics show that they will not do as well if they test on a make up day.
4. You may send a HEALTHY snack (crackers, pretzels, beef jerky, etc NO CANDY) and a DIET MOUNTAIN DEW. You do not have to send a snack, we will provide water and peanut butter crackers for them.
⭐️CHS FCCLA members competed in the state competition in Dallas last weekend. These members advanced from regionals in Lubbock in February and were able to showcase their hard work on their projects. They all did well, learned lots and are ready to start planning for next year! ❤️
🎉Please help us congratulate sophomore, Lilly Boyd for placing 1st 🏆 and advancing to •Nationals!• Lilly will travel to Seattle this summer and compete against others in the Say Yes to FCS Education category. ⭐️❤️

‼🐺⌨🎮 CMS eSports Update ⌨🎮🐺‼
Apex, Rocket League Team 2 and Fortnite team all made playoffs.
- Apex went 4-2 on the year and won the first round of playoffs to go to the State Tournament in Arlington.
- Rocket league Team 2 also went 4-2 on the year and made the first round playoffs. In the first round they played the #1 school and lost in game 7 of the series.
- The Fortnite team made the playoffs. Going undefeated on the year and is tied for the #1 team in the league. Not only did they go undefeated they only lost one round all year making the round record 15-1 and overall record 5-0. The Fortnite team has won round 1 of the playoffs and just need to win one more game in order to go to the State Tournament in Arlington!

‼️🐺🎾 CHS Tennis competed Thursday and Friday at the Sterling CIty Tennis tournament and had some solid results.
Thursday, Ethan Haren competed in the Boys Singles division where he advanced to the semifinals where he lost. He played in the 3rd place match and came out on top for a 3rd place finish.
Jordan Wooddell and Madison competed in the GIrls Doubles divisions and they too advanced to the semifinals where they came up short. They played in the 3rd place match but lost a close one to finish 4th.
Friday saw 3 more Wolves and Lady Wolves competing all in singles.
Ismael Aguirre, boys singles, lost his first match but followed that up with a win in the consolation bracket before losing the next match.
Elaina Eckhardt, girls singles, had similar results. She lost her opening match before winning her first match in the consolation match before falling in a very close match the next round.
Brinley Quinn, girls singles, had the top results of all the Wolves and Lady Wolves. Brinley won her first 2 matches convincingly.
The semifinal match was a lot closer and tougher match, but she was able to hold off the young lady from Irion Co. making it to the championship match. However, she came up a little bit short in the Championship match to bring home a 2nd Place finish.
Everyone competed well and it was a good test for district. The Lady Wolves and Wolves will have one more tune up Thursday before District April 22nd.
The site for district has been changed to Irion Co. but the date will remain April 22nd.

‼️🐺‼️ Colorado FFA Livestock team consisting of Morgan Scott, Ryland Senter (not pictured), Wyatt Wylie, and Matt Farmer along with the Nursery Landscape team with Carli Garrison, Madison Ornelas, Brandon Loyola, and Alejandra Garza competed in their area contest on Saturday at Texas Tech.
The Livestock team had some tough classes and and a lot of competition with 102 teams and 380 individuals. While no top placings were had the team learned a lot and had a good day.
The Nursery Landscape team placed 6th competing against both Area 1 and Area 2 teams in the Texas Tech contest. They placed 4th in Area 2, and 2nd in our District. Carli Garrison was 11th high individual and one place and 13 points out of individual recognition. They are also State Qualifiers.
Way to go teams on a job well done!
