⛄🎄Ms. Morris and Ms. Saenz floral classes have been hard at work the past couple of weeks working on their wreath and snowman projects. It is such a hands on and all hands on deck task that we forget to take pictures. We were able to capture a few of the finished projects before they took them home. These kids are creating amazing things ‼ #ThisIsWolfNation
🐺‼ It may be paper and pencil testing day for many classes but when you step into an AG classroom you never know what adventure you are in for. These kids came to class yesterday thinking they were either helping clean up a shop or completing a test. They really showed up for the job when they arrived at the school farm yesterday! They had no idea the class would lead them to administer dewormer and microbes to 43 head of lamb and goats. Ms. Morris' Advanced Animal Science class teamed up with Ms. Saenz Principles of Ag class and pulled off a never accomplished feat of completing the task in one test period yesterday. And the bonus was getting to also watch the shot administration to a rather not so interested pig. Lots of learning, teamwork, and success to get the job done! #ThisIsWolfNation

🎄🐺CISD staff is getting in the holiday spirit! Today staff participated in a Grinch hunt! 3 Grinches were handed out on each campus and teachers were encouraged to find the Grinch from their colleagues. Special thank you to Somethin’ Girlie and Red Bird Boutique for the awesome prizes!

‼🐺A huge THANK YOU to our the Colorado Ag Association for the purchase of a set of new lamb and goat scales at our school farm. This will help kids with their show projects in maintaining correct weights. Colorado FFA is so thankful to have this group of supportive individuals. Currently this group is made up of parents and friends of Colorado FFA.

‼CTE representative George Brooks stopped by to deliver our official metal plaque honoring the 34 Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs) earned by our students for the 2023-2024 year! 🎉 Those pictured with Ms. Morris are just a few of our hardworking certification earners.
Mr. Brooks also shared some exciting news: New Mexico State University is now offering at least 3 hours of credit to students with an ICEV IBC. 🎓🙌 He hopes this trend will expand to other schools in our area, with more information coming in January.

Here’s the latest welding update for y’all! After a big day at Collin College in Allen, Texas, we’ve got some awesome news to share:
Mason Silva crushed it and qualified for state in Level 1! 🎉 Oh, and by the way—Happy Birthday, Mason! 🥳🎂
⚡Wyatt Wylie came in 4th and is waiting on X-ray results to lock in his spot.
🔥Jayden Usener snagged 10th place and is also waiting on X-ray results.
‼Since Top 10 places move on, Wyatt and Jayden are so close to qualifying at Level 3, one of the toughest levels out there. Fingers crossed for those clean X-rays! 🤞
📢Big shoutout to Adolfo Duenez, Kaz Womack, and Diego Andrade, who are already headed to state. With three more qualifiers coming up, Mr. Martinez has high hopes for even more of our guys making it to the big stage.
