With an abundance of caution, CISD will operate on a 10:00 AM start time on Friday, January 10, due to the potential for today’s precipitation refreezing overnight, as indicated by the National Weather Service. While we cannot accurately predict the weather, we can make informed decisions to prioritize everyone’s well-being.
Buses will also run on a 2-hour delay. Activities scheduled for Friday are expected to proceed as planned.

🚨 National Law Enforcement Day – January 9 🚔
Today, we take a moment to honor and appreciate the incredible men and women in law enforcement who dedicate themselves to protecting our communities. Their work is challenging, their sacrifices are great, and the risks they take every day do not go unnoticed.

Mitchell County Livestock Show Schedule
‼CISD Weather Closure Update‼
It is with an abundance of caution and based on data from the National Weather Service that all CISD campuses will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, due to inclement weather. All athletic activities will also be canceled. This closure will not impact our calendar, and no make-up days will be required.
We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates regarding Friday, January 10, as soon as a decision is made. Stay safe and stay warm, Wolf Nation! 🐺❄️
🐺💙💛Colorado FFA members Matt Farmer, Kymani Martinez, and Danica Salazar-Taylor just finished delivering a lunch presentation to Kiwanis club to highlight their animal species and the upcoming Mitchell County Livestock Show this week. Come out and support these kids and their hard work if you have the opportunity on Thursday and Friday as they show off their projects. Ag Mechanics and rabbits on Thursday and pigs, goats, lambs, and cattle on Friday. Then they have the premium sale on Saturday evening at 5pm if interested in supporting with a monetary donation. This is certainly a week that hits so many aspects of the FFA Motto.

It is such a hands on and all hands on deck task that we forget to take pictures. We were able to capture a few of the finished projects before they took them home.
