🐺Colorado FFA members Morgan Scott, Mallory Carreon, Carli Garrison, Daisey Roller, Kara Martin, Wyatt Wylie, Matt Farmer, and Ryland Senter attended their Area FFA Convention the past two days May 16th and 17th in San Angelo. Members brought back a few of their district banners and had already received their area plaque when they were at contest.
Members spent 2 days hearing and voting on incoming officer speeches, listening to and voting for some amazing talent, as well as getting to hear retiring addresses. They had a short time to network and socialize with peers from other districts while attending a meal and dance.
These kids not only listened and participated, many came back inspired to step out of their comfort zone and do more! Speeches, officers, more teams, Lone Star Degrees, and community service are just a few of the things this group has decided to work on for next year.

Parents and Community Stakeholders @ Approximately1:55pm we received notification from The Colorado City Chief of Police, Chief Stevens that the assailant is still at large, but based on the condensed geographical range the school can move to a "soft-lockdown" status, which according to our Standard Response Protocol is a state of SECURE. All doors will remain locked (Interior/Exterior) with normal school operations ongoing inside the building and adults continuously remain with an increased situational awareness. Our plan is to undergo normal and regular dismissal. Thanks again for your continued cooperation and support. ALL students are safe. BE BLESSED!!!

2022-23 House (team) Leaders for Mrs. Wulfjen’s 2nd grade. These students took leadership to a new level this year! They lead their group (we call them houses) through the year. They encouraged and grew their team to win challenges, stay organized, participate, demonstrate character, and work hard! I couldn’t be more proud of them! Atiana Renteria - Black House of Creators, Braylee Rivera - Blue House of Unity, Jimena Gonzales and David Lara - Yellow House of Workers, Joseph Molina - Green House of Givers. I expect to see more great leadership from these students in the future.
