This concluded Mrs. Hammond's 6th grade Mysteries and Investigations Unit. Each student was given a character. One of the characters was the assailant. The students moved around the room interviewing one another, gathering clues, to determine whether or not there was a motive or if each person had an alibi or not. After they interviewed and reinterviewed, they narrowed down their list of suspects until they determined who commited the crime. The assailant's job was to blend in with the rest of the students while trying to not be caught by the other students. Afterwards they discussed any red herrings that were misleading or distracting them from the truth.
Interesting things going on at CMS!
