‼🐺‼Happy FriYAY Wolf Nation!
Take a look at Mrs. Hammond's 6th grade RLA class enjoying their learning experience. Currently, they are studying the traits of exceptional writers, with one such quality being the ability to show rather than tell in one's writing. To demonstrate this, the students engaged in a game of charades, showcasing the art of showing through actions rather than just telling. #ThisIsWolfNation

The 2023 State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR). STAAR grades 3 through 8 are now available to view via the TEA Family Portal. These results will show where a child is meeting grade-level expectations and where they may need additional support for the upcoming school year.
Follow these easy steps to access your child's results:
1. Log in to the Texas Assessment Management System's portal at TexasAssessment.gov.
2. Enter the student's six-character Unique Student Access Code that appears on their most recent STAAR Report Card. The code must be entered exactly as it appears.
3. Then, enter the student's date of birth and click "Sign On".
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE UNIQUE ACCESS CODE:

‼CES Parents:
🐺Parents of Pre-K through 4th graders must have car tags visible on their rear view mirrors to pick up their children. If you don't have a car tag, come to the CES office by 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to get one. This helps ensure student safety and speed of dismissal. Thank you!

Parents:
We understand that dropping your child off at school can be stressful and time-consuming. If your child can get out of the car or truck by themselves, dropping off your child on the middle school side will make the process smoother. Our staff will safely walk them over to the elementary side in a timely manner, ensuring everyone gets to their destination safely. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
We understand that as a parent or guardian, your student's mental health is a top priority. Please know that we are here to help in any way we can. To support your student, we invite you to visit the CISD website and access the link in the top right-hand corner to refer them for counseling. Mrs. Follis, our licensed mental health counselor, will work to respond to your request as soon as possible. Regardless of your student's grade level, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students. Counseling sessions will be available starting the week of August 14th. Remember, We Are Better Together.

‼CHS Announces Attendance Grand Prize 🐺 Chevy 2023 Trailblazer‼
CHS students that have perfect attendance this year are looking at chances to win a brand new 2023 Chevy Trailblazer. This vehicle will be presented to a student from CHS as an attendance reward this year. The CISD Educational foundation has provided the grand prize to help reward students and bolster attendance at the high school. Along with the grand prize CHS will also be doing weekly rewards, 3-week cash prizes, 6-week cash prizes and drawings for prizes, and semester prizes based on a class competition (class wars) for trips to possible sporting events or themed parks.
All rules and guidelines are being finalized for the grand prize, but if you do not attend, you cannot win. So all students get to school on time and don't miss.
Students are only eligible for grand prize if they are registered at CHS before snapshot PEIMS date October 27th.
Parents we respect your concerns: Starting today we will have 7th/8th graders picked up on the elementary side in the lane closest to elementary school. 5th/6th graders will be picked up on the Middle School Side in the lane closest to the building. If you have a 5th/6th grader and a 7th/8th grader the 5th/6th grader will be on the Elementary side with their 7th/8th sibling. We hope this alleviates our pick up issues for all families.
Wolf Nation: Dear CISD Families,
We have experienced a great first day of school. As a reminder those Wolves who ride buses to and from school, please be patient with pickup and drop times as routes are being calibrated. We hope you have wonderful dinner conversations this evening about the great experiences and expectations of student's first day of school as a member of our CCITY WOLVES ! BE BLESSED 🙏🏾
‼🐺The 2023-2023 school year has begun at CHS and we are off to a fantastic start! The teachers at CHS were well-prepared to welcome, teach, and motivate their students, with inviting classrooms and fun activities to help everyone get to know each other. The first lunch of the year was a success, with our nutrition staff serving up delicious food with bright smiles for our hungry Wolves. #ThisIsWolfNation
